>> No Hot Water in TRECS and Student Aquatic Center

There will be no hot water due to the Facilities Service campus-wide steam outage from 12:01 a.m. Thursday, May 15, to 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 16 in the TRECS and the Student Aquatic Center. The outage is necessary to allow for repairs to campus steam piping and valves and as well as to perform related work at the Steam Plant. For more info call 974-2415. 

The women’s locker room in the Student Aquatic Center will be closed as well on May 15th from 8am-11am due to repairs.

2. The HPER and Bubble will be closed for the remainder of the summer. If you know of any Faculty/Staff interested in summer memberships to the TRECS & Student Aquatic Center they may obtain those for $45 at the TRECS Administration Area.

3. Please note: Destination ImagiNation will be on campus May 19th-25th , which will affect many areas of RecSports operations:

The TRECS Lobby and Court A will be used for registration and headquarters for the UT Department of Conferences.

The entire SAC Lot & Staff 20 parking lot will be closed during the week. Please refer to the Employee Survival Guide provided by UT Conferences for other parking availabilities.

Please expect a heavy use of facilities during this week with our guest from DI on campus including the outdoor pool, plaza area and RecSports field.

4. Please also be aware that the RecSports facilities will be closed during the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 26th.

The Outdoor Center will be closing on Friday, May 2nd at 6pm and will reopen for the summer on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays beginning June 2nd from 3-7pm.

The Climbing Wall will be closing on Friday, April 25th at 7pm and will reopen for the summer on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays beginning June 3rd from 5-8pm.

The HPER Building and Bubble are not available for recreational use during the summer. A summer membership must be purchased to use TRECS and the SAC from May until August and can be purchased beginning May 1st at the TRECS Administration Desk.
