Ride a classic southern whitewater rollercoaster!
Enjoy an adventure filled day with a group of friends as you experience a wild whitewater ride. Beautiful gorges and action packed rapids await.
“That was amazing!” you yell as you reach the calm pool beneath the class III Broken Nose rapid. You gasp for breath with a huge smile on your face. Your guide calls for a paddle high-five, and your raft happily smack paddles overhead. As you paddle the swift current to the next class III rapid of Double Suck, your eyes drift up, and up a little more to the top of the gorge 200 feet above.
Double Suck makes itself known before you see it, the noise causing you to anchor your feet securely beneath the raft’s thwarts. “Alright ya’ll, here’s what we’re going to do….” and your guide gives the plan.
Conditions permitting, you’ll raft one of the most famous southern rivers, the Ocoee, a stunning 5 mile class III/IV whitewater river.
If this is your first time rafting (or even if you’ve been before), you’ll love your guide, who does more then “just the job.” Your guide will make the trip fun by doing different tricks in the rapids, getting to know you, and help make sure you bond with your boat crew.
Going on this rafting trip with [UT Outdoors] was a wonderful way to do something I was interested in, but also a little bit scared of. Once we got on the rafts and our guide starting teaching us the motions, I wasn’t afraid anymore and felt totally comfortable going down the river. UTOP provided me with an amazing opportunity that I don’t think I would have done otherwise. Thanks for another great trip!
