Outdoor Program Coordinator
Biography
Trey has been the one of our Outdoor Program Coordinators since 2015. He came to us from the U.S. National Whitewater Center, in Charlotte, NC, serving as the Kayak and Stand Up Paddleboard Program Manager. Originally, Trey started his professional career in outdoor recreation at Georgia Tech working as the Graduate Assistant of their Outdoor Program. From 2007 – 2011, he worked at Falling Creek Camp as the Assistant Outdoor Adventure Director. Trey expanded his involvement in the American Canoe Association (ACA) in 2011 and joined the association as the Education and Outreach Coordinator until 2013. Trey now serves as the Chair of Safety, Education, & Instruction Council and the SEIC Director on the ACA Board of Directors.
Trey is an active member in the whitewater stand up paddleboarding community. He is currently professionally sponsored by Badfish SUP, Immersion Research, Astral Buoyancy, and Shred Ready.
Along with being a professional stand up paddleboarder, Trey has presented numerous times on paddle sports risk management and education at conferences such as Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education Conference, American Camp Association, and International Boating and Water Safety Summit.
