Meet the Trainers

Certification: AAAI/ISMA Personal Training

Major: Kinesiology

Training Experience: I have been training for 2+ years now. I’ve worked at a handful of different gyms with various populations. For the past year, I have been powerlifting competitively and hope to do so for years to come.

Training Philosophy: Fitness isn’t just about getting shredded, strong, or a combination of the two. It is about building the foundation for a healthy lifestyle that can bolster your quality of life, strengthen your physical and mental fortitude, and help you realize your true potential. As a trainer, I hope to create a fun environment where the client will develop a long-lasting love for exercising and its benefits.

Major: Psychology w/ Elementary Education Minor

Training Experience: I started in Fall 2021 working as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor, but I have been into fitness/sports my entire life! I did volleyball and track in high school and have been weight training for about a year and a half now.

Training Philosophy: My goal as a trainer is for all my clients to truly enjoy their workouts and continue implementing fitness into their lives even after they’re done training with me. I believe this is achieved by helping my clients find workouts they enjoy, all while helping them achieve their goals.

Why I like to teach Group Fitness: My goal with teaching group fitness is to make sure everyone gets a good workout in while having fun. I also love watching people’s confidence grow as the semester progresses as they come to more and more classes!

Major: Marketing

Training Experience: Most of my experience has to do with programming and writing workouts designed for hypertrophy. I also have knowledge on strength gain and the bodybuilding world. As I continue on my lifting journey I am hoping to compete in a physique show before I graduate college and would love to share my knowledge of lifting as I continue to grow.

Training Philosophy: My training philosophy is that it is a mindset. You can do anything you put your mind to, including changing the way you look and feel. The mindset needed to commit to working out and seriously impress yourself is something that everyone can have. I hope to help people come to find this mindset while I train them. I love showing people what they are truly capable of physically and mentally.

Major: Sociology

Training Experience: I have been training for almost 2 years now. I’ve worked at a couple of different gyms over the past year as well. I work out in the gym as a daily routine for my mental health and to stay in shape.

Training Philosophy: Fitness for me is more than a place to work on bettering myself physically. To me, it is a therapeutic environment to relieve stress and develop healthy habits. The gym has been a great place for me to form connections with people and has helped me in many ways other than my physique. As a trainer, I hope to form more connections with people and help them achieve their goals.

Major: Kinesiology

Training Experience: I’ve been a CrossFit athlete since I was a freshman in high school. I got my certification to coach during my senior year and I loved it. I can’t wait to bring what I’ve learned to my classes and my PT clients!

Training Philosophy: Have fun. Enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy the way you work out and it feels like a punishment, you won’t be able to reach your fitness/health goals. I believe that part of my job is to help you enjoy it and see that exercise doesn’t have to be a chore.

Why I like to teach Group Fitness: I love coaching group fitness because I love seeing people challenging and gaining confidence in themselves. I think that it is so fun to be able to share what I love and to give people the opportunity to feel good about themselves and their workout.
